The Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack comes as a full setup with 2 Vortex crossbars, four 2500 Series legs, and a custom fit kit. Everything works together so you can load up gear without adding extra parts. The full-length aluminum bars give plenty of room for cargo boxes, kayak carriers, or other attachments you already own. With a 165-lb weight capacity, it’s built to handle real trips with real loads.
Wind noise can ruin a good drive, especially when your vehicle is loaded up. These aero-style crossbars are designed to keep things quiet by cutting through the air smoothly. The rubberized Vortex strips in the top channels reduce drag and help stop that high-pitched whistling some bars make. You’ll get the carrying power of a full rack without the constant drone from above.
When you’re carrying valuable cargo, peace of mind matters. Each crossbar includes integrated plastic locks that help deter theft of channel-mount accessories, while lockable cover plates on the legs keep the rack itself secure. For added protection, you can upgrade to all-metal locks (RRVA-LEC4 – sold separately). Whether parked at a trailhead or stopping overnight, your gear stays where you left it.
Trips don’t always happen in perfect weather, and this rack is made to handle it. The aluminum construction resists rust and corrosion while keeping weight low. The black finish looks sharp and ties in well with most accessories. The crossbars come with a limited lifetime warranty, and the included legs and fit kit each have a 5-year limited warranty for long-term dependability.
If your roof doesn’t have factory side rails, that’s no problem here. This system installs directly onto a naked roof using its custom fit kit and 2500 Series legs for a strong hold without damaging the surface. Once set up, you can use both top channel and clamp-on mounts to carry bikes, skis, or cargo carriers whenever adventure calls.

Still happy. Theres a whistle, but you can fix it with a bit of foam insulation in the bottom of the rail.

Still rock solid after a year. Very happy with the Rack. My daughter has used it from time to time over the past year when something wont fit in her car, and shes had no problems with it at all.
